Rev. Paul Weathers spoke for two successive Sunday evenings. His subjects were New Age, Eastern Religions, and cults. They were factually captivating and sometimes humorously presented. I like to call Paul and his colleagues “WATCHDOGS.” Many of us just don’t have time to investigate the fine doctrinal points of every new (or old) movement. Old heresies have found new labels and tried to sneak into the Body of Christ. Paul and his colleagues are valuable as a source of current information and careful analysis. There are precious few ministries doing this kind of important ministry. I believe it is people like Paul which prevent the deception of the very “elect” (Mk. 13:22). The Lord uses him in a unique way and has equipped him in a very valuable way. Paul operates in submission to his local church and the board of Alpha-Omega Research Institute.The fact that he appreciates and cooperates with the many denominations and churches which hold to “sound doctrine” makes him a believable source of warnings and information. He does not insist that I agree with him on every small point of honest difference in Biblical interpretation, but keeps his focus on the areas where real problems might occur. Please accept my recommendation for Christian Apologist, Dr. Paul J. Weathers. He is a scholar, theologian, and an effective defender of the Christian Faith!

A few years ago, Dr. Weathers served as my partner in a well attended campus debate with Muslim Scholars. He was well prepared, quick to respond to our counterparts, and his debate skills were admirable! Dr. Weathers was kind to our Muslim counterparts, but his refutation of Muslim assertions was hard hitting and effective! For two victorious hours, he served admirably as my debate partner! For these reasons, I would be pleased to have Dr. Weathers serve with me again in formal campus debate.

Dr. Weathers is well educated on Islam, Comparative Religions, and Christian Apologetics in general. He has served in many debates and also as a debate coach for students seeking to develop and refine debating skills.
